If you see unwanted contact suggestions while composing an email, you can remove them directly from the app.
Where do suggested contacts come from?
Suggested contacts are automatically generated based on your email activity, including:
– Addresses you’ve previously sent emails to
– Recipients from incoming emails
– Contacts saved on your device or synced accounts
These suggestions are designed to help you compose emails faster.
Where do suggestions appear?
Suggested contacts can appear in two places:
– When you start typing in the “To” field (dropdown suggestions)
– Below the “To”, “CC”, or “BCC” fields as contact bubbles
How to remove suggested contacts
The removal method depends on where the suggestion appears:
1. Suggestions below the “To” field (contact bubbles)
– Tap and hold the suggested contact
– An “X” option will appear
– Tap the “X” to remove it
2. Suggestions while typing in the “To” field (dropdown list)
– Tap and slide the suggestion to the left
– A red “Delete” option will appear
– Tap “Delete”
Once removed, the suggestion will no longer appear when composing emails.
