If you aren't receiving notifications, please follow these steps to resolve your issue:
Use the Notifications Troubleshooter:
- Open Edison Mail
- From the menu, tap Settings
- Tap Notifications
- Tap Troubleshoot Notifications
If the Notifications Troubleshooter is unsuccessful in resolving the issue, please try a fresh installation of Edison Mail by following the steps:
- Delete/uninstall the Edison Mail app.
- Restart your device.
- Reinstall Edison Mail from the App Store/Play Store, reconnect your accounts.
Android users: if you're still not receiving notifications, it's possible you have a battery saving feature/mode enabled on your device which may be inhibiting these notifications. If you've verified that these aren't enabled on your device, please check to make sure you have the Google services framework installed.
Mobile:
iOS:
- Open your device Settings app
- Tap Notifications
- Scroll down and tap on Email
- Ensure that you have Allow Notifications enabled
- Go back to the home screen of your Settings
- Tap on General
- Tap on Background App Refresh and ensure that it is enabled for Edison Mail
- Close the Settings app and open the Edison Mail app
- From the menu, tap Settings
- Tap Notifications
- Ensure that you have the notifications you would like to receive enabled (as well as badges, etc)
Android:
- It's possible you have a battery saving feature/mode enabled on your device which may be inhibiting these notifications. You can read more about these features here and here. If you've verified that these aren't enabled on your device, please check to make sure you have the Google services framework installed.
- If you've followed the instructions above and still aren't receiving notifications, please let us know and we'd be happy to take a closer look.
Desktop:
- Open your macOS System Settings
- Tap Notifications
- Scroll down and tap on Email
- Ensure that you have Allow Notifications enabled (as well as badges, etc)
Important note: Due to technical limitations of how our app is setup, you won't receive notifications for messages which get filtered into folders by way of server-side rules or third party services. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause!
If you've verified all of the above (but still don't receive notifications) please contact us with a description of the issue and send us a complete list of connected accounts (full email addresses) you're not receiving new mail notifications for. Once we have this, we can take a closer look.
