How do I turn on Email Backup for my accounts?

Please follow the instructions below to enable/turn on* Email Backup:

  1. Open Edison Mail
  2. From the app menu, tap Email Backup (or tap Settings and proceed to the next steps)
  3. Tap Back up & Sync and scroll to the bottom of the page
  4. Tap Email Backup and follow the onscreen instructions, choosing supported account(s) and choosing which email address you'd like the backup file(s) sent to, completing the setup
  5. Once setup is complete and your backup is available, you can tap Download My Email Backup and a zip file (or several zip files) containing your backup will be sent to your desired email account. This process may take between 24~48 hours.

*Only Gmail accounts are supported for this feature right now, but we're adding support for more in the future. GSuite/Google Apps accounts aren't currently supported.
