What is a Summary?
Summary reduces notification fatigue by allowing you to schedule multiple email subscriptions to be delivered in a simple digest at a time that works for you.
Summary offers you a simple digest of email subscriptions that you can schedule to arrive in your inbox all together on a daily or weekly basis at a time you choose. It’s fully customizable and reduces the stress of constant notifications.
How do I schedule a Summary?
The first time you add a subscription to your Summary, you’ll be asked to select a time of day (and day of the week if you choose to have it delivered weekly.)
How do I add a subscription to my Summary?
There are a few easy ways you can add subscriptions to your Summary. The first two ways are via your Subscriptions tab. Simply find the email subscription you’d like added to your Summary and select “Add to Summary”. Or you can tap and hold a subscription in order to activate bulk select. Then tap on all the subscriptions you’d like to add to your Summary followed by “Add to Summary” in the bottom right.You can also open up a subscription, select the three horizontal dots in the upper right corner and tap “Add sender to Summary”.

How do I change my Summary schedule?
To change your Summary schedule, click on the blue banner at the top of your Summary screen. You will be able to change the existing scheduled time.
How many Summaries can I schedule?
At this point you can can schedule one (1) Summary. Our team is considering the ability to allow more than one, and if you’d like to request this, please let our support know.
What is an Unsubscribe Score?
We calculate Unsubscribe Potential using the amount of emails received vs the percentage of emails opened from a sender. This is used to intelligently recommend senders you may want to unsubscribe from.
How is my "Unopened/Opened" rate calculated?
If a message is read, it will be counted as ‘opened’ – this includes marking a message as read without opening it.
Can I disable scheduled summary notifications?
You can disable your subscriptions summary by following these steps:
- Open Edison Mail
- Tap Settings from the app menu
- Tap Summary
- Tap Turn off Summary at the bottom of the page.
Alternatively, when you open the latest subscriptions summary, there will be a bar at the top that says "Change" in the top-right corner, tap that and then tap Turn off Summary at the bottom of the page.
